2011-2012 School Year

Student attendance calendars were approved in June, 2011.

  • First day of school is Thursday, August 18.
  • Back to School Night varies by school
  • Elementary Conferences are scheduled mid-November and mid-March.
  • Middle and high school Conferences take place in early October.
  • Winter break is Dec. 23 through January 6.
  • A "Presidents' week" break is set for February 20-24
  • Spring recess is April 6-13
  • Last day of school is June 7, 2012

Scheduled Holidays

  • Sept. 5: Labor Day holiday
  • Nov. 11: Veterans Day
  • Nov. 21 - 25: Thanksgiving Recess
  • Dec. 23- January 6: Winter Recess
  • Jan. 16: Martin Luther King, Jr. Day
  • Feb. 20-24: Presidents' week break
  • Apr. 6 - 13: Spring Recess
  • May 28: Memorial Day Observance

Minimum Days 2011-2012

The following minimum days have been scheduled this school year:

  • Various date at each site - minimum day following Back to School Night
  • Sept. 23: (middle schools only)
  • Oct. 3-7: parent-teacher conferences (middle schools only)
  • Oct. 5-7: parent-teacher conferences (high schools only)
  • Oct. 14: end of quarter (middle and high schools)
  • Nov. 9-18: parent-teacher conferences (elementary)
  • Dec. 19-22: (high schools only)
  • Dec. 21-22: (middle schools only) 
  • Dec. 22: Last day before Winter Break (all)
  • March 7-9: parent-Teacher conferences (elementary)
  • March 16: end of quarter (middle and high schools)
  • April 27: (middle schools only)
  • June 5-7: (elementary and high schools)
  • June 6-7: (middle schools)

Students are dismissed earlier than normal on all Wednesdays to provide collaboration time for school staffs. See individual school schedules for dismissal times.
